There are about four million Baby Boomers retiring every year, adding up to a growing talent gap at the leadership level. Research conducted in 2016 showed that 71% of CEOs said that they do not have the leaders they need for the future.
Adding to this is the fact that current leadership programs are judged as providing only poor to fair return-on-investment.
- 64% of CEOs said that developing leaders as coaches was a top priority
- 36% of organizations say that their leadership development practices are below average
- 51% of organizations said their leadership is not at all ready to lead their organizations today
- 92% of organizations have NOT taken the time to define their leadership requirements
